The International Air Transport Association (IATA) has appointed, with immediate effect, Richard H Anderson, CEO, Delta Air Lines, as Chairman of the Board of Governors. Anderson succeeds Alan Joyce, CEO and Managing Director, Qantas Airways, whose one-year term expired at the conclusion of the Association’s 69th Annual General Meeting (AGM) and World Air Transport Summit in Cape Town, South Africa yesterday. Anderson will hold the position for a year, ending with the conclusion of IATA’s 70th AGM, which will be held in Doha, Qatar from June 1-3, 2014, a release stated.
